8 Best Recipes For Heat Resistance In Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Link will have to go to some hot places, so these foods should help him stay alive.

Some places in Tears of the Kingdom get very hot, and if players don’t have the right gear, they may find it hard to stay alive. Heat-resistant gear can be pretty expensive, and Tears of the Kingdom players often have a hard time making enough rupees to buy something so expensive.

There are other ways to get heat protection, which is good news. By making certain foods, players can gain enough heat resistance to stay alive in some of the game’s hottest areas. Here, Tears of the Kingdom players can find some of the best recipes for heat protection.

Herb Sauté

To make Chilly Herb Sauté, players will need between one and four Cool Safflinas and some Goron Spice. This dish gives the player a small amount of heat protection, which should be enough to get them through some of the game’s milder hot spots.

Some of the higher places in Hyrule, like the Hebra Mountains or the Gerudo Highlands, are where you can find cool Safflinas. For Goron Spice, you can go to the General Store in Goron City and buy it there.

Fruit Pie

If you want to give Link in Tears of the Kingdom a sweet treat, you can make him a Chilly Fruit Pie. This recipe is great for making something more heat-resistant, but it calls for a lot of different things. Players will need Goat Butter, Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, and either one or two Hydromelons.

You can buy hydromelons in Gerudo Town or find them grown in the Gerudo Desert. You can buy Goat Butter, Tabantha Wheat, and Cane Sugar from different shops all over Hyrule.

Mushroom Risotto

There are a lot of things you need to make this fun meal. Rock Salt, Goat Butter, Hylian Rice, and either one or two Chillshrooms are what players will need. How much Heat Resistance the dish gives will depend directly on how many Chillshrooms the player uses.

Rock Salt is often found in mines, and it can also be bought from different dealers. Players can get Goat Butter for free by going to the spa in Gerudo Town. There, they will find some Goat Butter sitting around. Like Hylian Rice, it can be bought from more than one vendor. Lastly, you can find Chillshrooms in colder parts of Hyrule, like the Hebra Mountains.

Tomato Mushroom Stew

In Tears of the Kingdom, players who want to be able to handle heat better should try making Chilly Tomato Mushroom Stew. This meal is great for people who have a lot of Hylian Tomatoes. They will need one to four Chillshrooms and a Hylian Tomato to make it.

This dish will then give Link high-level heat resistance for ten and a half minutes, which is great for when Link is trying to get through the Gerudo Desert. Hylian Tomatoes can be found all over Hyrule, but most often in East and West Necluda in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Mushroom Rice Balls

It’s pretty easy for players to make some Chilly Mushroom Rice Balls. They only need some Hylian Rice and between one and four Chillshrooms. The more Chillshrooms they use, the better they will be at resisting heat.

Hylian Rice can be bought from different shops around Hyrule, or it can sometimes be found when cutting grass. On the other hand, Chillshrooms usually grow at the base of pine trees in TOTK’s colder areas, like the Gerudo Highlands or the Hebra Mountains.

Fragrant Mushroom Sauté

To make Chilly Fragrant Mushroom Sauté, players will need between one and four Chillshrooms and some Goron Spice. This great dish is one of the best in Tears of the Kingdom because it increases the player’s heat resistance and gives them high-level heat resistance for eleven and a half minutes.

Tunnel Rush players who want Chillshrooms can find these mushrooms quite often in the colder parts of Hyrule. Goron Spice is easy to get because it can be bought at the General Store in Goron City.

Fruit and Mushroom Mix

With the Chilly Fruit and Mushroom Mix dish, players have a little more freedom with what they can use. They will need to mix Chillshrooms and Hydromelons together, but they can use any amount of each. For instance, if the person has more Chillshrooms than Hydromelons, they could use four Chillshrooms and one Hydromelon, or the other way around.

You can buy hydromelons in Gerudo Town, or you can find them growing in the Gerudo Desert. Chillsrooms, on the other hand, are found in Hyrule’s colder areas, like the Gerudo Highlands or the Hebra Mountains.

Mushroom Skewer

In Tears of the Kingdom, one of the best ways to improve your heat resistance is to cook a Chilly Mushroom Skewer. This recipe is very easy to follow because players only have to cook up to five Chillshrooms.

This dish gives players the highest amount of protection against heat for a total of twelve and a half minutes. This makes the Chilly Mushroom Skewer perfect for players who want to explore the drier parts of Hyrule in TOTK without getting too hot.

The Nintendo Switch lets you play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
